Botslab Dash Cam V9H

Very good all around general purpose video recorder. Lots of video opion like slo-mo, time lapse, etc. the detachable battery / monitor module is a plus. (It looks like a DJI clone). The video and sound is very good (but not as good as a higher priced DJI or Go Pro) but more tha satisfactory. The only unusual thing is the microphone is on the rear of the body (directly behind the camera lens on the rear monitor). A plus is that it has Voice commands and Voice announcements. The EIS emulates a very slow gimbal effect, but it's bettter tha a jittering video. Good camera for the price.

This is a great beginners digital video camera - it is Easy to use, has great photo quality for the price & is very durable. I got it for my 13yo daughter and she had no problem setting it up and navigating the menus & settings. It has a pretty quick processor so working the menus & photo display are quick. We really like the full color & resolution screens that are on both sides when the battery is attached to the camera - great for selfies & tripod timmer shots. It comes with a decent battery which lasts 2hrs on the 4K 30FPS setting and about 1.0 on the 1080P 120FPS setting. It came with a 64GB SD memory card which is good for a whole game too. I ended up getting a couple 128GB cards and use those as well. The battery can be charged while inside the camera vis USB-C which I found super convenient & is the only way this camera would work for my needs - I use an external 10000mAh battery pack which is plenty to record a whole 1.5hr game. It has an internal gyro-ish feature that was great on a recent camping trip where we went mountain biking & boating - It was great for taping the girls tubig and biking around - really did a great job of stabilizing the video. The 4K 20MP lense/processor makes for some very nice high resolution and sharp clear video and the sound capture is pretty true - god enough for me anyways. It has worked great for recording my daughter's softball games & is great for action use too. I got a universal camera case that was perfect for holding the camera and all the accessory lenses & charger. I do wish that there were a few more aftermarket accessories available for it like a bumper case and a waterproof case but maybe those will come along. It does have an aux port to plug in an external mic. The app is super easy to use and great for transferring video from the camera to my phone or uploading to my cloud. I am not able to live stream with it but that is ok for me - would be great if the app will update to support that feature soon. Overall I am very happy with it. A good option for those who need a good action video option but aren't willing to cough up the +$250 price tag of a GoPro, DJI or Mevo camera.

This is a cool little camera. It can be used as a dash cam or a handheld walk around action cam. The EIS does a really good job of stabilizing the footage when driving and handheld. It comes with the adapter piece that should be used for handheld as it is the power source for the camera. It also has a second screen that you can use for self filming. The distortion is not bad at all for this style of camera. The 4K footage looks pretty good for a budget action camera and the color is much more accurate than a lot of other budget action cameras i have used, when viewed on a separate device as the screen quality of this action camera is not the best. the screens are also not touchscreens so you are forced to navigate all of the menus with the three buttons on the top of the main unit.

To use it as an action camera, simply attach it to the V9H accessory, this adds a secondary screen and provides power. For dashcam mode, just plug the USB cable into the included adapter and connect it to your cars power outlet. The camera can be attached to a holder or tripod with the thread nut. To unlock the cameras full functionality, youll need the Botslab app. It pairs with your smartphone and makes it easy to view, manage, and share recordings directly, no need for a computer. The app provides you multiple settings that cannot be done with the camera directly.

Video quality is impressive: sharp resolution, customizable settings that goes from 4K, 2K and 1080 and from 30fps to 120 fps, it has a wide-angle lens that excels at capturing expansive scenes, ideal for the dashcam function and action camera for outdoors. Navigating the cameras features directly or with the app is intuitive even without the manual.

Im pleased with this tiny cam and the robust feature set it offers, in addition it has multiple accessories that can be purchased separately. My only concern is heat exposure when using it as a dashcam, the operating range is ~20C to 50C, and temperatures in my area can occasionally exceed that.

The camera it's ok. If you are looking for a budget action camera this is great for that. The app works as expected. Video stabilization was better then I was expecting compared to old action camera with out any stabilization. You will not get an excellent quality for it but it does the job. If you arw planning on recording for streaming them on the internet just get a better one from a big brand.
