1.Front camera records in True 4K (Ultra HD) using a Sony IMX415 sensor, delivering exceptional detail and low-light performance. 2. Rear camera offers crisp 1080p Full HD, with an optimized quality close to 2K on some models.
What should I do if the video is unclear?
Please download the original video, as the real-time view on the mobile app is not at the highest resolution. Videos downloaded via the app may be compressed when shared through messaging tools, resulting in a loss of quality. Ensure the lens and the windshield are clean. Use a lens cleaning cloth to remove any dirt or smudges. In older vehicles, severe engine vibrations can cause the dashcam and windshield to shake, affecting video recording. The vibrations from the engine are transferred to the dashcam, resulting in shaky footage. It is recommended to mount the rear camera on the rear windshield. Avoid placing the heating wires in the center of the lens. Poor light transmission through window film and a rear windshield that hasn’t been cleaned for a long time can also impact recording quality.
How does the parking mode work and does it require additional hardware?
Yes—when used with a hardwire kit (required accessory), it supports 24/7 parking mode including sentry, collision, and time-lapse recording. This enables monitoring and recording even when the vehicle is turned off
How are videos stored and protected during incidents?
The G980H supports loop recording and includes a G-sensor that locks emergency footage to prevent overwriting . It comes with a 64 GB microSD card included, with support for up to 256 GB (or even 512 GB for some multi-channel versions)
